Lions Paws for Support Veteran Application

Lions Paws for Support is a project that was created in 2015 by the Mill Creek Community Lions Club. The mission of this project is to sponsor the adoption of dogs and cats from local shelters and rescues, for local veterans of the United States Armed Forces.

The project helps our community two-fold, by giving homes to animals in shelters and rescues, and companionship, as well as emotional support to our veterans. Caring for an animal can bring out feelings of love, reducing stress and encouraging outdoor and social activities for their veteran companions.

We are partnering with Joyful Dogs Indiana to offer one-on-one 6 week obedience courses for each veteran and their emotional support animal as well! This training will take place at the veteran’s home. Please note, this is obedience training only, not service dog training.

We are very excited to provide this gift of gratitude to veterans who have given so much with their service to our country. If you are interested in receiving an emotional support animal, please fill out the following information and return via email to lionemilyhoward@gmail.com or text to 219-608-7531
